How valuable is a single soul? Jesus makes it clear in His parables of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the prodigal son that heaven rejoices over one sinner who repents. God’s mission to save the world is not abstract—it unfolds one life at a time, one person being restored to Him.

The lost sheep reminds us that the Good Shepherd goes after the one who strays. The lost coin illustrates the urgency of recovering what is precious. And the prodigal son reveals the deep relational nature of salvation: rebellion leaves us empty and broken, but the Father runs to embrace us when we return, clothing us in Christ’s righteousness and celebrating our new life.
