Psalm 83 God is God in time of blessing and time of want.

Asaph cries out to God in this Psalm desiring for God’s protection in a dangerous time. During the life of David, Israel was miraculously protected by God and Israel was granted victory. Many years later due to their sinfulness God allowed them to be defeated. In both instances God was live and well and on his throne. It is good for us to remember this in times of plenty and times of want.
