Patrick Kiebzak shares his harrowing story of his experience during one of the most powerful storms in all of recorded history. With High winds and Flood waters raising over 12 inches above the previous record set in 1916, Hurricane Helene completely destroyed hundreds of communities in its path. Hundreds are dead. Tens of thousands more who's lives will never be the same. Many are wondering "now what?", as they look around and see that the storm completely upended their lives and smashed their dreams. But, in times of the most horrendous catastrophes, there are those who come to be the guiding lights, and who raise up to become leaders and activists. Creating safe places, and nurturing those who need it now, more than ever. Over the course of the next few weeks I will be sharing the stories of those who have lost everything, but found something inside of themselves that may have never been realized before.
