Petty Girl Profile: Ashleys Story
"Let's start at the very beginning- a very good place to start."-(Julie Andrews as Maria in The Sound of Music) This week we are going back in time to the early days of the Cupola. Ashley was the 3rd employee brought on-board and shares her story of what life was like pre-CC. For our standards, this part of the story is pretty mild but we need to lay a foundation so you can all keep up with the drama to come. Stay tuned, tell your friends, and don't forget to #staypetty.
A Petty Girls Guide to Success (and failure) in the workplace: Season 1 Trailer
When Ash & CC worked at "The Cupola" they faced many challenges. Everything from normal office politics, to truly bizarre situations. Often, when they would bring up real issues and concerns about the many problems within the building they were called "petty" or "immature" by leadership. After many years of this the girls saw through the gaslighting and decided it was time to leave. Their feelings are complicated and sometimes raw- this podcast was created to help them express their loss, find healing, and eventually be able to move on. But not yet. We're still feeling petty. Disclaimer Names and places have been changed to protect staff and residents of the cupola. We ask that no one seeks to "out" it or harass any of the people who live and work there. Rather, please listen with an open mind and remember that this is one community among many in a very broken system. We could be telling the story of any Senior Living Facility in the US. Our experience is our own, we do not claim to be experts nor are we seeking revenge. We are working through our own heartbreak and believe that our story is worth telling, if for no other reason than to get it off our chest. Thank you for Listening.
