On the Hill today, we talk to Portsmouth Assistant Chief Na’Shayla Nelson. Assistant Chief Nelson has worked in every area of law enforcement and most recently she was the Chief of Police for the Maxton (NC) Police Department. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Upper Iowa University, two master’s degrees, and is a current Doctoral Candidate focusing on Public Policy and Administration from Walden University.
