Juneteenth is a day of celebration and remembrance for African Americans. It marks the day in 1865 when news of the Emancipation Proclamation finally reached Galveston, Texas, freeing slaves in the last Confederate state. As we celebrate Juneteenth this year, it is important to remember its significance and how we can promote Black health, wealth, and joy.

From health initiatives that focus on preventative care to financial literacy programs that help build wealth in Black communities, there are many ways to celebrate Juneteenth by promoting Black health, wealth, and joy.
