Terrestrial ecosystems within the Sub-Saharan belt are not an exemption from discussions of how richly biodiverse the continent is endowed. Uganda, not only one of the most biodiverse around the World, but also within the continent contains up to 17% of its total land mass under terrestrial protected area cover. Irene Kananura takes us through the factual realities with the livelihoods around the landscapes that contain these protected and conserved area ecosystems.
