By the time the town of Marigold Bay is fully awake, the mystery has already begun tightening around Jodi Ellison.

The hidden note refuses to leave her thoughts. Neither does the strange metallic wire, which proves someone interfered with the wedding cake in her own kitchen. What started as an unsettling discovery is beginning to feel deliberate—calculated.

As customers filter into Petal & Crumb Bakery, bringing the town's normal chatter with them, Jodi listens more closely than usual. Casual comments suddenly carry weight. Small details feel important. Someone knows something… even if they don’t realize it.
