Simon Rinne, a mental health advocate and founder of Mindful Men, shares his personal journey with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and men's mental health. Growing up in Australia, Simon experienced societal pressure to conform to hyper-masculine ideals, which hindered his ability to seek help for his mental health struggles. He developed OCD symptoms, including obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors, such as checking doors and windows. Simon used alcohol as a coping mechanism, but eventually sought professional help and embarked on a therapy journey.
