In this episode, from a chapel service held on Friday, 29 August 2025, Mark Thompson, Principal of Moore Theological College, speaks on John 5:1-18 and Jesus’ healing of the man at the pool of Bethesda.

He reminds us that, like that man, we can hold so tightly to lies that we have believed for so long that we miss the grace of Jesus. Like the Jewish religious leaders, it is all too easy for us to become imprisoned in a cage of our own making so that we fail to see that Jesus is God, at work in the world.
