Tammuz is a month we remember the destruction of our relationship with Father God when the Israelites chose to worship a golden calf instead of the one true God. This is fourth month of religious calendar and tenth month of civil calendar. Tammuz is named after a Babylonia god as a remembrance of the pain suffered by the Jewish people when the chose to worship false gods. Exodus 32: 7-8 (KJV), “And the Lord said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves: They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.” The Lord wants us to turn our back on the other gods that cause ...
