LaToya Benton is the mother of Xzavier Hill and the co-founder of Life After the Impact, a national advocacy organization that uplifts and supports families affected by police violence and state-sanctioned injustice. After the devastating loss of her only child Xzavier Hill at the hands of law enforcement, LaToya made the courageous decision to seek justice on her own—filing a pro se federal civil rights case. Though the case was denied, her determination has only grown stronger. She is now preparing to take her fight all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States.
