Coralie Fargeat brings us 'The Substance', a satirical body horror flick that has taken audiences and critics by storm. It seems everyone has been talking about the release, and its easy to see why. The film has had such a mixed reaction, that I had to check it out to see what the fuss was about....

Regardless of where you stand, 'The Substance' certainly delivers on what it was set out to do, and is layered with symbolism and messages from substance abuse, to society’s attitude towards women and what standards are expected of them.

Both leads, Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley, are fantastic in their respected roles - though technically, they are one - both manage to deliver a fascinating watch of a subject that desires to be younger and 'better', sending them on a wicked spiral with very dark, and horrifying, consequences.
