Martin O'Toole & Julia Malcolmson - Psychedelics - Friend or Fiend? The Power of Psychedelics - Hopenning 2.0 - episode #137 in Treating Emotional Trauma

Martin O’Toole is a highly experienced psychedelic guide and integration coach, certified through ICEERS, with a background in transpersonal psychology, breathwork, and trauma-informed coaching. In this episode of “Hopenning 2.0”, Fran, Martin and Julia discuss the use and history of psychedelic and plant medicine in treatment on mental health, and how they were outlawed in the 60’s, which contributed to unsafe practice in the 70’s. Today, there is a resurgence of psychedelic use, in and out of controlled and ceremonial settings, and why we all need to be aware of their potential, and misuse, and to decide for ourselves if psychedelics are the next best way of treating and recovering from emotional trauma. We discuss Martin and Julia's upcoming Peru retreat, and lead our "Hopenning 2.0" listeners through the reasons their retreat, with a combination of eastern spirituality, western psychology, and shamanic ceremonial plant medicine practices, may be the best use of the potential of psychedelics to heal from emotional trauma.
