John describes Jesus as “the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.” Christmas is the celebration of divine Light entering a world covered in darkness. From the moment of the fall, humanity has walked in shadow—shadowed by sin, sorrow, fear, and confusion. But the Light came, not to expose us to condemnation, but to lead us to salvation.
