Recover Your Life | Finding Rescue in the Rhythm of Sabbath Ft. Selah Hirsch

Generations at the Table by Megann Marcellino

Episode notes

In this episode of Generations at the Table, Megann Marcellino is joined by her friend Selah to talk about the provision of sabbath. In our culture, it’s easy to be ruled by a busyness mindset that leaves us tired, burned out and chasing accomplishment to fill our emptiness. We weren’t made to live like this–and there is a better way. Selah shares how through keeping shabbat with her family she’s found holiness in her home, connection at her table, and a trustworthy anchor amid the storms of life. Megann and Selah encourage the listener to embrace the gift of sabbath, to keep it simple, and be willing to press through resistance. Sabbath is not a “have to”, it’s a rescue–it’s a time to get away with God, recover your life, and in so doing, operate out of a greater place of overflow.
