Uterine fibroids develop in women of child-bearing age. Most, if not all women deal with fibroids sometime in their life. Most fibroids do not require surgery, they just shrink on their own. 80 percent of women have fibroids, some women have small fibroids and some have larger fibroids. Sometimes surgery is required if the symptoms are causing the woman to alter her life. In my case, my doctors documented, kept an eye on my fibroids since 2015 via ultrasound, exams, MRI's. My fibroids grew over the past 8 years that caused me to have surgery 10 days ago. What you see are my 5-pound fibroids that were attached to my spinal cord, I woke up during surgery because my pain was hard to manage.
