In today's episode, I am excited to introduce Yuki Shida, an LMFT who is passionate about supporting Asian American children of immigrants, particularly those dealing with anxiety and childhood trauma. A second-generation Japanese American, Yuki was raised by a single mother as the eldest daughter and grew up speaking Japanese as her first language. She has lived in Tokyo, the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Orange County—experiences that deeply inform her bicultural and trauma-informed work.

Yuki holds a B.A. in Ethnomusicology from the University of California, Los Angeles (2012) and an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hope International University (2017).
