On April 29, 1989, Bob Pelley, his wife, and two step-daughters were discovered murdered in their home after Bob failed to show up for work as a pastor. Two of Bob's biological children and one step daughter were at other functions away from home that night. Police took particular interest in the oldest Pelley child, Jeff (17), who attended his high school prom the night his family was murdered, then hung out with friends at the local theme park the next day. Police did not have enough evidence to arrest Jeff for his family's murders in 1989, but detained him 13 years later. Jeff was arrested, tried and found guilty of four counts of murder.
