New Year

Today is the first day of a new year,

Go out and do the things you hold dear.

Visit your family and friends once again,

It is always nice to be around kin.

This day starts a new beginning,

We live with the risen king.

Do not spend one more day headed in the wrong direction,

Ask the Lord for His hedge of protection.

Enjoy this year like no other,

Spending time with your father, mother, sister, and or brother.

For we do not know when life will end,

Do not lose Jesus as your friend.

Put him first and all other things will fall into place,

For His yoke is light and easy in His holy presence.

Happy New Year,

Trust the Lord and do not fear!
