Loretta Castorini (Cher) learned the hard way not to marry for love. Now a 37 year-old widow, she vows that her bad luck will finally change and agrees to marry Johnny, a mild-mannered businessman (Danny Aiello). Before leaving on a trip to Sicily to visit his dying mother, Johnny asks Loretta one simple favor — to invite his estranged brother, Ronny (Nicolas Cage) to their wedding. Things get more complicated when Loretta and Ronny meet and are wildly attracted to each other. Is it love? Or is it just the moon playing tricks on them?
