“Let’s do like a book club. But with Rom Coms.” And just like that, Canoodle was reborn.
A couple of years ago, while on a New Year’s vacation with some girlfriends, one of them confessed that she had just spent several days hiding from her family and secretly binge-watching Christmas RomComs on the Hallmark channel. Within seconds we were all weighing in with our own favorites, savoring their schmaltzy but irresistible titles: It’s Christmas, Eve!, Christmas Under Wraps,, A Boyfriend for Christmas (the ultimate gift!).
After we’d exhausted Hallmark and moved on to non-holiday RomComs, we wondered why there was no “RomComTV.” Why do we have to scour the depths of our cable systems to catch a glimpse of Julia or JLo? Why do we have to wait for Christmas?
