Episode notes
This episode introduces the concept of perfectionism and self-induced pressure, continuing with the discussion of stress and anxiety from the first episode. I was very glad to invite Dr. Lisa Damour, a clinical psychologist, and a New York Times bestseller author, to talk about one of her expert fields, perfectionism. Throughout the episode, we discussed "what is perfectionism," "what triggers it," "health vs. unhealthy perfectionism," "the overlap between perfectionism and depression," and "how do we utilize this 'superpower' in our daily lives." Dr. Damour has suggested some useful strategies and interesting concepts in this special episode. I am very excited to publish this episode that focuses on a unique but important topic for adolescents at the current time.
