Episode notes
Episode summary — “Rejoice and Be Glad With Me” (Philippians 2:14–18) Paul urges the Philippians to keep the mission first—“joyful gospel advancement”—so that on the Day of Christ he can boast that his running and labor among them were not in vain. His life is being “poured out as a drink offering” on the sacrifice of their faith; and he calls the church to share that same joy-filled, costly investment. True, lasting rejoicing comes when we pour our lives into what is eternal: the church and its gospel mission.
Big idea: Invest your life where Christ’s glory endures—build up the church’s faith and advance the gospel—and rejoice together as you pour yourselves out.
