Love blooms between an Indian pilot, Veer [Shah Rukh], and a Pakistani girl, Zaara [Preity Zinta]. As circumstances would have it, they are tragically separated. Unbeknownst to each other, Veer spends his years in a Pakistani prison, while Zaara devotes her life to his village in India. It is a tale of many loves - of Veer and Zaara, their family, their friendships, their country.
