Sunshine Cabot was scooped, or removed from her biological family and placed with European families to "remove the Indian from the Indian" as mandated by the government in those exact words.

Through growing up feeling lost, not knowing her roots, where she came from, she felt a deep ache inside that grew into a desire to turn back and help those kids that were also scooped, to find themselves and guide them toward their purpose in life.

The truth? Media will say that scooping occurred from the 60's to the 90's...but it indeed never stopped, the government just became more clever by hiding it within legitimate government systems e.g. child welfare services.
