The last two chapters of Rillera’s transformative book do not disappoint! We learn to reframe many NT texts that are not attaching sacrificial language to the death of Jesus at all. We see that Jesus shows us how to live a cross-shaped life; God is our rescuer, not our condemner; and God’s justice has nothing to do with punishment!
