Too many masjids in Illinois

Why do we keep building masjids in Illinois? Why can't we build some in the boofoo parts of America where there are definitely muslims that are having trouble finding a masjid? Or what if we took that money and gave it back to the community and helped families in need? You may not agree with me, but the truth deserves an open mind.
