When today's show began, House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries was at the podium in the House Chamber, giving a speech that is supposed to talk supporters of the Big Beautiful Bill NOT to support the passage in the upcoming vote to do so. Throughout the show, we monitored the status. Jeffries, who took the podium to begin his speech at 5:30 Eastern this morning, is still at the podium seven hours later! However, we covered a lot of ground:
- We discuss in detail the carryover from Trump's first term, including his need to deal with bureaucrats within the government who use their titles to attack the president in every possible way.
