In this episode, I travel to Gurugram, India to a ITF W35 tournament and got the chance to interview the director of the tournament, Vishal Uppal. Vishal has a long list of accolades including representing India in Davis Cup, former captain of India's Fed Cup team, captain of India's Junior ITF team, winning an Asian Games Medal, and founder of the Tennis Project where we are located, a project that was started to give more Indian tennis players better access to international level tennis.
We talk about his tennis experience as a player, coach, and director along with some cool stories when he was playing tennis back in the day.
