Michael Veksel is a director, producer and editor based out of Tel Aviv, Israel. His groundbreaking documentary, "In the Same Boat" (Arvut Production, 2024), tells the remarkable and inspiring stories of five Arab-Israeli heroes and some of the Jewish Nova Festival survivors they saved from the October 7 Hamas terrorist massacre.

The film is a powerful amalgamation of the trauma and the hope of a nation, all melted together.

All of the heroes are Arabs, but they are also proud Israelis. Theirs is a story not often told. "In the Same Boat" profoundly depicts their bravery and their sadness, their strength and brokenness. All ending on such a beautiful note.
