Note sull'episodio
This Sunday at Beloved, we spent time in Psalm 135, reflecting on the reality of idols in our lives. Whether it’s success, relationships, comfort, or control, these things often promise life, joy, and purpose—but in the end, they fall short. Psalm 135 describes them clearly: they have mouths but cannot speak, eyes but cannot see, and ears but cannot hear.
We were reminded that while idols are real and powerful, they are not ultimate. God alone reigns above all. He is the one who truly sees, speaks, and hears. He has what our hearts are truly searching for.
Unlike every other belief system that says we must climb our way to god, the gospel tells a different story. Our God came down to us. He sent His Son to rescue and restore us. That’s why we take idols seriously—and why we fix our eyes on the one true God who is above all.
