I) đȘïž Tension Pneumothorax (TPTX)
Key idea: Clinical dxâtreat now, donât wait for imaging. Patho: One-way valve â air traps in pleura â lung collapse + mediastinal shift â âvenous return â obstructive shock; often from PPV with visceral injury. Meds: Oâ (often high-flow). Analgesia after stabilization. Team: MD does immediate needle/finger decompress â chest tube. RN preps gear, monitors vitals, reassesses; eFAST must not delay care. Cues (prio): đ„ Hypotension/shock; đ„ unilateral absent breath sounds; đ§ severe tachypnea/air hunger; đ§ tracheal deviation (late); đš JVD; đš cyanosis (late).
