My commentary on the complexity of the incident surrounding the slap heard ‘round the world at the Oscars involving Will Smith and Chris Rock.

*correction on my pronunciation of Alopecia (not “apropecia”).

Update: I was instructed not to use the word “nappy”…which, in this context, was meant as commentary on how prejudiced white people describe the hair of people of color (but it didn’t land right)…but it is a trigger word regardless so I apologize for using it.
