Firstly Nazirites
A Nazirite is not the same as a Nazarene, which is a person from Nazareth. Nazir is a hebrew word that suggests consecrated or separated.
Only three lifetime Nazarites are listed in the Bible being Sampson, Samuel and John the Baptist. All three of them had special circumstances where their mothers could not have children and the children were dedicated to God at birth. And in Acts 24, Paul paid for a few men who were finishing off their Nazirite vows, this was to demonstrate he was not an enemy of the Law of Moses.
