In this episode we close our book club conversation about Kahlil Gibran’s “The Prophet.” Travis and I read the final chapter, “The Farewell” in its entirety. It’s a bit of an emotional sendoff. Al Mustafa says to the people: “We are the seeds of the tenacious plant, and it is in our ripeness and our fullness of heart that we are given to the wind and are scattered… I go with the wind, people of Orphalese, but not down into emptiness; And if this day is not a fulfilment of your needs and my love, then let it be a promise till another day.”
