You’ll know my mate in this episode as the most talented and best-looking Cosmic Psycho: the star of the show, John “Mad Macka” McKeering.

Macka is one of the most interesting blokes I know. Not only can he shred like no one else, but as he tells it, he’s had four careers.

The first of them, was as a swimming coach. He was bloody handy as a swimmer himself, but found his calling helping others hone their craft.

His second career was being a lawyer and his third was as a public servant. He’s also got a degree in political science and a master of arts in musicology.

But of course, his most constant career, is as a musician. Before he started with the Psychos, he was one-third of the Brisbane band, The Onyas. They played balls-to-the-wall punk rock that didn’t give a shit what anyone thou ...
