They're still going with the soup thing in this episode and it is growing old. The Rev receives some (apparently) disturbing news about his parents. The Rev and Lucy have an overwhelmingly unpleasant encounter with Sandy's mother and stepfather. Martin finally gives Meredith the bad news about his impending fatherhood.
