Mike was born and raised in North Bellmore, New York where he graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in accounting in 1991. He applied to, and was accepted into the Atlanta Police Department where he began his career in August 1993. He worked in Atlanta Until he was hired by the Suffolk County Police Department, New York in October 2003 where he worked until he was medically retired in October 2022.
