Hey everyone! Today was a special day for me - it's my 24th birthday! 🎂 I wanted to take this opportunity to share some personal thoughts and reflections on what it means to be African in today's world. 🌍 Growing up in Lagos, Nigeria, I had a certain understanding of my African identity. But as I traveled outside of Africa and met incredible people from all walks of life, I realized that being African is so much more than just a geographical location. 🗺️ In this video, I open up about the struggles of grappling with the impact of colonization on our collective African consciousness and the importance of healing from historical trauma. 🩹
