I am the founder of the longest running June 10th acknowledgment in the Metro Detroit area I am responsible for assisting and starting the first June 10th for Royal Oak as well as several communities in Detroit we are responsible for crowning the first ever Miss Juneteenth Detroit Miss Juneteenth Michigan and then we created the title Mr Juneteenth as well we believe in the power of June 10th to unite our community on a common goal which is to celebrate ourselves respect one another and honor our ancestors a chance to tell our story uninterrupted
