A classic that was released in 1986 and starring the late Gene Hackman as Norman Dale. It's based on the Milan team of 1954. Against all odds, the team would play for the 1954 Indiana State Basketball Championship. The team would end up winning and Matthew talks about the production of the film. The second film Matthew talks about is "The Natural", which saw its release in 1984. It is based on a book and the film stars Robert Redford as Roy Hobbs. An athlete with a natural ability to being great at baseball. The film would be nominated for four Oscars. Matthew also talks about the two endings from the film and the book. The third film that Matthew talks about is "Field of Dreams", which was released in 1989. The film stars Kevin Costner who hears a voice in his cornfield and builds a baseball field on his land. The movie is a classic and has a lasting impact on Major League Baseball.
