This past April, Congress passed a bill (H.R. 7888) reauthorizing Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. You’ve probably heard this referred to as FISA. The White House released a statement saying they “applaud” its passage - calling it “one of the United States’ most vital intelligence collection tools.
