Joker: Folie à Deux

As much as the first 'Joker' didn't really need a sequel, its hard for a studio to leave things alone - especially when a film you release brings on 2 Oscar wins, as well as over $1 billion at the box office. So alas, here we are with a sequel that no one really asked for; 'Joker: Folie à Deux'.. and unfortunately, its a huge misfire.

The musical aspect derail's the movie on a number of occasions, and sadly, the plot isn't enough to gain the same response or connection that the first film had with audiences. Putting it simply, I found it incredibly boring and lacklustre. It does beg the question whether this was self sabotage? or if it was a case of 'sticking it to the fans'? Who knows, but its easily the biggest disappointment of the year.
