We read a small segment of The Marriage of the Fire Under Water and Gale, for two voices, as a jumping off point to talking about Rob's fictional city state near Carthage (the story itself is set just before the Second Punic War, and then in the modern day with the archaeologists re-discovering the culture). Some of this takes place in the fictional University of Basingstoke, which is the university that Katy Porter from the Pagham-on-Sea series wants to apply to.
