Notas del episodio

Cannabis Emesis Syndrome — more formally known as Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) — is a paradoxical condition that affects some long-term, frequent cannabis users. Despite cannabis’s well-known anti-nausea properties, CHS causes repeated bouts of severe nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.

🚨 Key Symptoms

  • Persistent nausea, often worse in the morning
  • Vomiting episodes that can occur up to 5 times an hour
  • Abdominal pain and cramping
  • Compulsive hot showers or baths — many patients find temporary relief this way
  • Loss of appetite and weight loss
  • Dehydration and electrolyte imbalance in severe cases
