Louise Hamlin's life experiences were pretty conventional. She was a divorced mother of three and a law lecturer.

After meeting her second husband, they moved to the country and she started to make pots. Her husband died at age 71. Hamlin was heartbroken.

But then slowly the grief became shot through with threads of joy because, against all expectation, she started to receive signs and messages from him.

Hamlin's book, WhatsApps from Heaven, Bereavement in the Twenty-first Century, is an account both of her bereavement and of the amazing signs that she received— and continues to receive up to this day.

She had no belief in the afterlife until receiving signs which, in her eyes, were quite irrefutable. Now she finds immense comfort in knowing that consciousness survives death.
