RSS.com and Podbox announce a new joint venture to co-produce, distribute and monetize new and original podcast shows in the Spanish language.

The co-founders at RSS.com Alberto Betella and Ben Richardson last week met Tania Rincón and Ray López, founding team at Podbox. Tania is a popular Mexican TV host and entrepreneur. Ray López is an entrepreneur and an award-winning creative with over two decades of experience in advertisement, who earned prestigious awards in the industry such as a CLIO and a Cannes Lions award among others.

Podbox studios are located in La Condesa, one of the most lively and vibrant neighborhoods in Mexico City. The goal of this new partnership is to invest in local talent and content creators by providing the resources needed to create, distribute and monetize original podcasts in the Spanish language. The new venture already includes over ten original, growing shows in Mexico.

This joint venture, along with the previously announced partnership with the media conglomerate Grupo Fórmula consolidates RSS.com’s plans to expand their operations in Mexico and Latin America to co-produce original shows and support Spanish speaking podcasters.
