Magic Series: Episode 23- Wigs
Wigs for centuries have been used for a multitude of things. Wigs first appeared in Egypt, no surprise by the royals an upper class of society. In the Talmud, women are encouraged to cover their nature hair, as in Islam, where they wear burkas, Jewish men and women wore faux hair. A bit of a loophole to appear 'normal'. Wigs later popped up in China during the Han Dynasty before 770 BC. Wigs were often supplied as providing shade when walking, before the invention of other headwear such as hats. Here, we will discuss the phenomenon of psychics who are naturally blind, and how they are still able to predict the future. Without the standard gift of sight, they are at a major disadvantage to know how to identify the simplest object, let alone spiritual beings and presences. They are devoid of the influence of media to describe what they are 'seeing' or experiencing. Original Post: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f70e09Ww9j0
Magic Series: Episode 21- Mezuzahs
A mezuzah (Hebrew: מְזוּזָה "doorpost"; plural: מְזוּזוֹת mezuzot) is a piece of parchment, known as a klaf, contained in a decorative case and inscribed with specific Hebrew verses from the Torah (Deuteronomy 6:4–9 and 11:13–21[1]). These verses consist of the Jewish prayer Shema Yisrael, beginning with the phrase: "Hear, O Israel, the Lord (is) our God, the Lord is One". In mainstream Rabbinic Judaism, a mezuzah is affixed to the doorpost of Jewish homes to fulfill the mitzvah (Biblical commandment) to "write the words of God on the gates and doorposts of your house" (Deuteronomy 6:9). Some interpret Jewish law to require a mezuzah in every doorway in the home[2] except bathrooms (which are not a living space), laundry rooms and closets, if they are too small to qualify as rooms.[3] The klaf is prepared by a qualified scribe ("sofer stam") who has undergone training, both in studying the relevant religious laws, and in the more practical parts (i.e. carving the quill and practicing writing). The verses are written in black indelible ink with a special quill pen made either from a feather or (now quite rare) a reed. The klaf is then rolled up and placed inside the case. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mezuzah). How is this used in Magic? The scroll of Biblical texts can be anointed in ritual oils for protection, considering the Mezuzah itself is already very powerful. If you are not very religious and want to remain connected to your Hebrew culture, it is common to place spells inside the Mezuzah and affix them to your door post as usual. You can affix any texts that are dear to you to put up all your home in the most inconspicuous ways. Writing anything on parchment paper makes it spiritually powerful and useful. This comes in handy for those who need reassurance of their own protection in your home, space, or businesses. This can be filled with herbs and stones, etc that resonate with you. People often touch them on their way into their space to fill themselves with peace and comfort. Magic Series: Episode 20- Journaling
There is so much Magic when writing things down in a Journal! First, written word is so very powerful to our spirits and our minds. Written words are instructions to be followed, by our bodies and our minds, so writing things down creates a reality. Second, written words are alive just like our spoken words! Repetitive writing makes things come true, or are things that may already be true. Journals themselves are the books that contain secrets, instructions, recipes, and our true feelings. This energy contained in a book gives the book itself life. What are we writing to make come true? To release negative thoughts, or patterns we would write them down first, and usually burn the pages to dispel of them forever. To increase good things, we would write them respectively in many ways, days, and in different languages to enhance it's long life. Magic Series: Episode 19- Crossroads
Crossroads are a big part of magic and the spiritual worlds! The crossroads is a place that is not owned by anyone or anything, like a passage that we all have to cross at some point. Crossroads are at least 3 roads that meet at some point that makes them one space. This is a strong reference to traveling or travelers, such are spirits all around us. In Greek culture, the crossroads were associated with Hermes, and Hecate. These familiar names are still very much honored today. Hermes, the God of travelers, is said to guide the direction of dead souls and soon to be living souls. Crossroads are to be acknowledge as a highly active spiritual highway with a massive amount of energy. Hecate, with her 3 heads, one for each direction of a crossroads. In Renaissance culture, criminals were charged, executed, and buried at crossroads. This was to be the ultimate punishment for the soul of a criminal to have no rest, and spent eternity confused as to returning to the crossroads each night and day and never crossing over; such power because that is where there body was set to rest. The crossroads was where victims of suicide were taken to rest. Given the severity of the act, dragging the body to the crossroads was for the person's actions not to influence the rest of the community, and to be judged by God or the Gods. In Hoodoo, Wicca, and Norse culture, the crossroads is a spiritual communication point. Rituals, Meditation, and charging happens in these places. It is said that the crossroads are the ears and eyes of the universe, and some have rumored of people disappearing at crossroads and were never seen again implying that they entered another world or dimension. Communication with very important spirits will occur at the crossroads at nighttime. You will find more folklore about that in Ancient African cultures centuries before slavery took place. After magic is performed with candles or any disposable instruments, it is said to release them to a crossroads so the spirits can carry out your intentions. You are then trusting the universe to do the rest after you have done your best. What do you think about crossroads now?! Magic Series: Episode 18- Music
The Magic of Music is something you were never forget! Music being created by instruments and singing, and all of these vibrational devices motivating us to feel something. Some music is intended to make us feel happy, empowered, and courageous! Other music is intended to make us feel angry, enraged, vengeful, and violent. Though we may associate those feelings with being empowered, song lyrics play the biggest part in magic. As we learned earlier the power of journaling and how written words are very powerful to the paths that we open and close for ourselves, spoken word is the most powerful force. Early Christianity implies that God created the world with his spoken words. That these words manifested precisely the way he intended. Spoken words in music guide us towards the intended vibration. Being good, high low, or bad vibrations. How is music spiritual? Well physically, the music has to be allowed into your body through the ears, which is near the brain, and the brain is hardwired to follow and obey a vibration. Thus, using your body, and mind to manipulate your spirit. Mind, Body, and Spirit are all one, once one is affected, the others follow. When singing about how you “never win” at something, will continue to manifest that as your truth on your path, thus closing the door to whatever you keep losing at. On the other hand, when you listen to music that says “I’m so powerful” will open doors for this to always be true for you. The trick is, that the catchiest music tends to be the most negative, off-putting, and degrading. Mindfulness plays a role in using music as a powerful spiritual tool. Classical and instrumental music is a secret ingredient to the life of the successful and the wealthy. The absence of lyrics gives the listener a higher vibration to manifest and create clearly and creatively. What have you been singing and listening to lately? Have you noticed it effecting your vibration? Original Post: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=616537133572715&set=pb.100056493017972.-2207520000&type=3
Magic Series: Episode 17- Jars
*I do not own the rights to the music in the background* Witches and Spiritual Practitioners have used Jars for centuries! Jars are so valuable even for the smallest of purposes!Jars, first, is a way to keep things organized. When working with herbs, roots, and etc, keeping them in jars is a great way to keep track of your materials. Clear jars are good for things that are not easily effected by sunlight, and darker jars are to protect things that may be sensitive to sunlight. This is how food was tracked and inventoried in ancient times, as well as keeping them as fresh as possible without modern day refrigerators. Second, Jars hold magical value in that your intentions can be kept in the jar as well as your materials. It has been said to speak your intentions over you herbs, etc, place them in jars and seal them shut. This is also why jar lids are sealed with wax or a permanent epoxy. The folklore is that if the lid or seal is broken, your intentions will fly away out of the jar, and the spell is no longer working. A spiritual practitioner could easily disguise their magic with the rest of the foods in the home in ancient times, as well as now. For sanitation reasons, keeping spells in jars under your bed, or in your closet will ward off pests and vermin from getting into it or disturbing it. Or it could be place with the rest of the foods of the house as to not be obvious around others. This denotes to freezer spells placed in jars, then kept in the far back of the freezer. A jar is said to freeze, or hold a spell like to freeze, or to bury something. A jar is used as a moving altar to some practitioners, placing things in and out of it periodically. These are old moving or living spells that travel with you for a certain period of time.Lastly, jars are for malicious spell work. Jars can contain materials or substances, that you intend to rot, and go bad to use later. Jars enhance a practitioner's patience when waiting for the souring of food, decaying animal parts and etc. The jar becomes a vessel of your malicious intentions. The jar becomes like a coffin or place of death and evil intent. What are you putting in Jars? Magic Series: Episode 16- Blood
*I do not own the rights to the music* The Magic of Blood is a lesson you may already know with a few additional facts you might not have known! Blood has been used since the beginning of time for deity, Ancestor and ceremonial worship. Blood in magic is one of the most powerful tools you can use. Blood contains a person's DNA and a biological link to anyone else related to the person. Blood is used in all scopes of magic, and witchcraft. Blood is the most valuable of all the bodily fluids in Magic. Blood resembles birth, life, and Death. The living substance of a human being and the life force which keeps you alive and connected. In the animal kingdom, blood is the most significant signal to survival, indication there is food around. It attracts predators, and attracts other animals to help, because blood can indicate trouble and vulnerability. Spiritually, blood is seen in religious settings as purity, and in other religious scenes is a sign of demons and undesirable forces. Though blood is a very dangerous substance to be around especially if it it not yours, take precaution and keep things sanitized. When using your own blood, always considered everyone related to you, though you can speak intentions to only include yourself in a spell, or spell work. Consider children if applicable when using blood, when spell work back fires, it can back fire on the children. This is most important when people curse their significant others whom they have children with. The children are part of that DNA and blood line. You can possible harm people related to your significant other's family unintentionally. Blood from your hands, in magic, symbolizes goal you intent to achieve yourself and keep under you own control. It assumes you control the ends as well as the means when in an offering, binding, blessing, or cursing. Blood from your fingers, in magic, symbolizes passive magic, such as a touch to lure in an enemy or lover. This is the safest way to curse, especially if you draw blood from the middle finger; which is socially derogatory. Blood from the nose, in magic, symbolizes revenge, and cursing. This blood is mostly brought upon by violence, and the blood born in pain is to send the same pain upon another person. Blood from Menstruation, in magic, symbolizes persuasion. This blood is in the biological cycle of the female biology, and this blood is created from unborn children. It is used the most in love spells, rituals, and court cases. Blood can be ingested, buried, carried, or used in spiritual baths. It can be a dressing for candles, crystals, and magical tools such as Athames. Blood is placed on the head of warriors in some cultures to intimate an enemy. Blood of enemies is drank after defeat as a symbol of controlling the spirit of the defeated. The use of animal blood is a substitute for human blood. The art of sacrifice is to atone Karma, or manifest your intentions to come to pass as death will come to pass for everyone. Your blood holds all of your memories, your past, but in the wrong hands can disrupt your future. I am guessing you may be a little more careful with your around blood now! What are your thoughts? Magic Series: Episode 15- Shoes
The Magic of Shoes is something you will never forget, or maybe you already know! In a lot of Hoodoo, and Wiccan Magic Cultures, shoes are a magical tool! Shoes serve as a vessel such as a jar, or burying magical charms, petition papers, and crystals. Shoes are something inconspicuous that others will not notice. Often times petition papers are place in the shoe that is on the same side of your dominant hand; or the hand you write with. But why put anything magical in shoes of all places? Your feet carry all of your body weight as well as all of your energy. When you place magical talismans, papers, or charms in the shoe, you can keep the magic alive, and the items are gaining power the longer it is carried on you. Most likely, when going into a situation where you think you'll need protection, favor, or the upper hand, people place magical items in their shoes when they know they will be around a special person, such as a love interest or boss. These items help carry out your intentions successfully and anonymously. It is often said in many culture to carry a magical item in your shoe when especially going to court to keep the favor of the judge. Magical items can be worn in the sock instead of the shoe, some prefer to be barefoot when carrying around items in their shoes to feel a closer connection to your magic? You may consider shoe magic the next time someone walks into a room and you may notice a change in the air or you may feel something tingly between you. What would you do if the shoe was on the other foot? Original Post: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=640186737874421&set=pb.100056493017972.-2207520000&type=3
Magic Series: Episode 14- Money/Pennies
*I do not own the rights to the music in this post* The Magic of Money is a great key to Success!! We all know the value of money, and the psychological hold it has on most of mainstream society. The vibration of money is felt worldwide, even though the values are different when compared to another or in a certain place. Money is the number one motivator to get up in the morning, stay late up at night, and tolerate certain people or conditions. And when we are putting ourselves through these obstacles, our energy is being spent, and Karma allows for that energy to be returned in the form of Money. Though you were standing on your feet all day, the money you earn will allow you to be off your feet whenever you please; as long as your will to stand again and repeat the cycle. Money is a key to success in our world as we use it bless people, ourselves, or we use it to use people and other objects, such as machines to achieve a goal. But what makes it magical? Money is another high stakes offering to Spirits, Deities, Ancestors and living people. Money is burned as an offering or sacrifice for something bigger that you want or need. Let's face it, we don't actually want money, we want the car, the house, and the clothes themselves, money is just the means to achieve that, am I right? In some cultures they burn the valuable money that can be used in daily life, in other culture, Hell Notes, which are replicas of real money, usually in much higher value, is burned as an offering to Spirits to appease them or as a thank you for their help. In most traditional magic, Hell notes are burned at the beginning of a request, and real money is given after the request has been successfully fulfilled. Money can be fleeting gift, no mater how small the quantity. Don't believe me? I have mentioned many times in my lessons about appeasing to the angel of Death. He requires that you pay him 15 cents for any request large or small, he needs to know that you are putting up some type of sacrifice. Money is a vibrational sacrifice, it requires energy, thought and follow through. 15 cents have been left on the headstone of graves if the spirit played any part in helping someone achieve a goal. Some practitioners leave money randomly in the same places to conjure up the same success they have received in that past. It is common for practitioners to collect old money that had circulated during the lifetime of an ancestor and offer it to them in exchange for blessings or just because. It has also been known, to offer the money from the country of origin of your loved ones.
