Tarot- Major & Minor Arcana

The Major Arcana is named because these 22 cards do not fall under any category of the 4 suites that follow in the rest of the deck. It begins with the Fool, and his journey throughout life, Death, Judgement and end at the World. The World symbolizes the sum of all lessons. All 22 represent the Universe, God, Planetary movements, and Nature's Laws. These natural stages are what we all will go through in common. They are the unchangeable structures of what holds life together. Major Arcana is the Chapter we go through in our lives, rising levels of awareness, and lessons we are suppose to learn. The Minor Arcana are the 56 day-to-day small pieces to a bigger picture. These are the situations we will face on our way through life. They stay in each chapter, such as life events, failures, and achievements. Their symbols are key to the direction and our decisions; the cause and effects can be felt on this mundane, or earthy level. This will be considered the story within the chapters. These 56 intricate details are the manifestation of how the lesson will be learned

Tarot- Things to Consider

When considering reading Tarot cards we have to consider the impact of the meaning behind the cards. There is a balancing of Major Arcana, and Minor Arcana. These parallel worlds exist at the same time and are intertwined within one another. The Major Arcana are 22 cards depicting a Fool's journey throughout the natural stages of life until death and judgement. The Minor Arcana cards are 56 mundane symbols of everyday life. These are the day to day details of our situation. What about reading reversed? In short, reversed meaning is always the removal or opposite of the original meaning. "As above, as so below", is the rule of thumb for reversed symbols. Who can read Tarot? Anyone on all reading levels can read Tarot. Tarot is offered in all languages including braille. There are Tarot cards fitting for children as well. They can be integrated into all cultures and religions. Tarot is fashioned just like the clothes in the store, unique to size, shape, color, and style.

Tarot- Introduction

Tarot (/ˈtæroʊ/, first known as trionfi and later as tarocchi or tarocks) is a pack of playing cards, used from at least the mid-15th century in various parts of Europe to play card games such as Tarocchini. From their Italian roots, tarot-playing cards spread to most of Europe, evolving into a family of games that includes German Grosstarok and modern games such as French Tarot and Austrian Königrufen. In the late 18th century French occultists made elaborate, but unsubstantiated, claims about their history and meaning, leading to the emergence of custom decks for use in divination via tarot card reading and Cartomancy. Thus, there are two distinct types of tarot packs in circulation: those used for card games and those used for divination. However, some older patterns, such as the Tarot de Marseille, originally intended for playing card games, are occasionally used for Cartomancy. Read More: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarot

Magic Series: Episode 30- Mirrors

Explicit
A mirror is a handy yet cruel tool. It is simple and easy to acquire. Yet, it tends to reveal our true nature. It has been said that it is harder to lie if you are looking at yourself from a mirror at the same time. The interesting thing is that when watching ourselves from a mirror, what we see is a mirrored image. We don’t actually see ourselves the way others do. And, what we see is what we choose to see. What we focus on. Our mirror image is a reflection of our reality. And what we see in the mirror is not a common reality, but how we interpret the reflection. What do you see when you look into a mirror? Are you seeing yourself as a whole, or are you obsessed with small imperfections? You may choose to see a person with a big nose and acne or a person with elegant brows, a beautiful smile, and eyes that reveal the magical wisdom inside. “No, I can’t if these things are a fact!” Well. It is also a fact that I have a brown birthmark on my cheek, my nose is very asymmetric and tilts to the other direction, and I have a bleeding iris mole in my eye. But when you look at me, are those the things that you see? No. Me neither, anymore. Why? “Magic, bitches.” Whether it was about our subjective, individual reality or unknown realms of the Universe, mirror magic is an excellent way to do shadow work, improve your self-awareness, face your demons, or perform scrying. Catoptromancy (Greek: κάτοπτρον, katoptron, “mirror,” and μαντεία, manteia, “divination”) is a form of mirror magic. It’s technically scrying done with mirrors. Scrying is a relative of clairvoyance, augury, or divination and it refers to the practice of looking at an object to receive a message or vision. In scrying, the intention is to “see deeper”, to get visions or messages, or to gain inspiration, guidance, and revelation. The object could be for example a crystal ball. Catoptromancy is scrying, in which the chosen medium is a mirror. Sometimes you may also hear people speaking about captromancy or enoptromancy, and they mean the same thing. Extra Tips: Breaking a mirror is not unlucky, with intention, breaking a mirror will bring better energy. Recommended for breaking the mirror outside to set the energy free back into the air A mirror in the Dining Room area can bring about Abundance & Happiness Speaking into a mirror with emotions, good or bad, will manifest itself quickly Never accept a mirror as a gift or buy a used mirror without cleansing it Cleanse a mirror in the Sunlight & Moonlight If your reflection is not quite right, it is a sign your energy is changing Source: https://templeofchrysalis.com/mirrors-the-basics-of-mirror-magic/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrmiFTophiY https://youtu.be/PjKyfTRWqo0?si=E6ZRNH8UF5V7-l-0

Magic Series: Episode 29- Athames

Explicit
An athame or athamé (/əˈθɒm/, /əˈθɒmə/, /ˈæθəmeɪ/, or /ˈæθɪmɪ/) is a ceremonial blade, generally with a black handle. It is the main ritual implement or magical tool among several used in ceremonial magic traditions, and by other neopagans, witchcraft, as well as satanic traditions. A black-handled knife called an arthame appears in certain versions of the Key of Solomon, a grimoire dating to the Renaissance. The contemporary use of it as a ceremonial tool was started by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, in the early 20th century, for the use of banishing rituals. The tool was later adopted by Wiccans, Thelemites, and Satanists. The athame is also mentioned in the writings of Gerald Gardner in the 1950s, who claimed to have been initiated into a surviving tradition of Witchcraft, the New Forest Coven. The athame was their most important ritual tool, with many uses, but was not to be used for actual physical cutting. There has been speculation that Gardner's interest and expertise in antique swords and knives, and in particular the kris knives of Malaysia and Indonesia, may have contributed to the tool's central importance in modern Wicca. An athame can take many forms. Contrary to popular belief, athames are not required to have double-edged blades or specially-colored handles. Contemporary magical practitioners often choose a double-edged blade since this carries symbolic meaning. Some witches will choose a single edge athame and use the straight edge to ring the bell for rituals. The handle of the athame is usually black, and is required in most covens which practice some variant of British tradition Wicca, including Gardnerian and Alexandrian. The handle may be inscribed with particular symbols dictated by the tradition. Janet and Stewart Farrar in A Witches' Bible suggest that the point of an athame be dulled so as to prevent un-intended physical harm during ritual use. Magic Series: Episode 28- Plants

Explicit
Plants and Plant Spirits will always play a very important part in magic. More so in nature, when incorporating herbs and/or plants, it is always beneficial to honor the spirits of the woods, the forest, the plains, and the specific plant themselves. So how are they magical? If we were referring to the plant cannabis, it wouldn't even be a question. When referring to where the plants originally came from, it is important to respect the environment. And if the environment is not being cared for, at least when you enter that space, you must be respectful and hospitable. This is where the magi begins! They are magical because unlike most herbs and foods, plants come directly from the ground and are actively alive before they are plucked from the ground or grass. Just as a tree is actively alive, plants share similar root and life systems. Though they are much smaller than trees, plants are tiny replicas of the tree system. I discuss the 1992 movie, Fern Gully, which is a representation of plant spirits and guardians of nature. Some would argue that the plant spirits were not strong enough to fight the destructions of humans, then and today as we continue to clear forests and nature to build homes. Others would argue that the survival of those plants and nature are still existing today as its own way of protection. The protection from extinction is the main goal. Magic Series: Episode 25- Patterns

Have you noticed any spiritual patterns in your life? What would you consider a pattern in your life? Is it good or bad? Let's discuss!

Magic Series: Episode 24- Dolls

Explicit
A doll is a model typically of a human or humanoid character, often used as a toy for children. Dolls have also been used in traditional religious rituals throughout the world. Traditional dolls made of materials such as clay and wood are found in the Americas, Asia, Africa and Europe. The earliest documented dolls go back to the ancient civilizations of Egypt, Greece, and Rome. They have been made as crude, rudimentary playthings as well as elaborate art. Modern doll manufacturing has its roots in Germany, from the 15th century. With industrialization and new materials such as porcelain and plastic, dolls were increasingly mass-produced. During the 20th century, dolls became increasingly popular as collectibles. There's just something really thrilling about a place with a dark and mysterious past. Take La Isla de las Muñecas, for example. An island covered with decaying old dolls strung up in trees is pretty creepy on its own — even before you get to the dark origin story.
